Life is too short not to take a well deserved vacation. And, if you are one of the lucky ones, you could fly off to a wonderful exotic location and bake yourself silly in the sun. It is a dream of millions and quite rightly so. We work hard for your money.

You worked so hard the whole year and now is the time to pack your suitcase so you can fly off into the sunset. It is always a fantastic feeling when you land at a new airport and everything is strange and different to your culture.

The language sounds exotic and everyone is so relaxed. You rush through customs and can’t wait to actually walk outside the airport building so that the a new sun and a new breeze can meet you with open arms. You even remembered to get your brazilian wax done just before you left as you need to work on a serious tan for your white washed body.

Of course nowhere else will you find the Latin salza playing in the background and people dancing in the streets, but in Rio de Janeiro at carnival time. The land of endless sun and song. Where the bodies are perfectly shaped and beautifully bronzed with matching mile long smiles.

Day two and you just can’t get yourself out of bed. You feel tired and a bit weak in the knees. You know it is because of jet lag and you decide to stay in. You saw in a brochure that the hotel as a wellness spa and that they believe in holistic therapy in dealing with aches and pains. You get a good body massage to sooth away those cramps in your legs, while listening to wonderful uplifting music.

Rio – as it is called, has so many wonderful sights to see that you need to take an organized day trip to orientate yourself first. The city is busy and pulsating with traffic and pedestrians. The sun is hot and many people walk around with shorts and a t-shirt. The beaches are where it’s at and there you will find well built bodies of all ages, sizes and shapes.

But alas, the sun was shut out today because of a cold arctic wind blowing into town. It is raining and you have not really brought along suitable warm cloths. Luckily you found two home space heaters in your closet and can enjoy a warm cozy room as you read a good book while falling into a deep relaxing sleep.

The time for great summer getaways is now. Your company can get in on the fun with the promotional items consumers can implement to put their vacation plans into motion. Custom luggage tags can safely and expeditiously send your customers to their favorite summer hot spots without worry. Guests can rest assured their luggage will be secure and identifiable with these promotional products making sure the baggage carrying their important travel possessions can be traced back to them. Luggage will be sent to the right room and more importantly be accounted for at airports and transportation stops should they make their trips via the air. Your company can spur the summer need for fun in the sun with custom luggage tags making vacations more efficient all around.

While summer vacation is generally thought of as a time to unwind in different environments, there are a few ways in which those trips could be stressful if proper precautions are not taken. Custom luggage tags assist in taking those stressors away so everyone can have an enjoyable time. Travelers will not have to consider their luggage every step of the way as long as these promotional items are clipped on and identifiable with their owners should a glitch in the travel plans occur. These promotional products have become even more critical for smooth travel since they do nothing but help security personnel identify luggage as flight passengers make their way toward their respective gates. Your company would do well in considering custom luggage tags as your marketing choice, especially given their place of prominence for travelers of all kinds.

These promotional items also value form just as much as function. Many like to style their custom luggage tags according the baggage they have in their possession. In the same way, your company can tailor these promotional products in the fashion you want your business to be seen. This will create a concrete image for consumers to remind themselves your brand is worth traveling with. They will go on summer vacations with family and friends while your company sees them off the right way with custom luggage tags. Send your customers the message they deserve some time away for much needed rest and relaxation with these promotional products guiding both them and their luggage to those destinations.

Everyone loves to get away and now your company can take advantage of the travel desires your constituents have, especially now that summer is underway. Custom luggage tags are reflective of businesses who understand there are times for travel in both professional and recreational senses in which certain preparations must be made so those trips can go as according to plan as possible. These are the promotional items that can make all the difference for your company during the summertime when consumer minds are directly on how they can escape daily life, exchanging for fun activities and a much needed break in general. It can be your business that sends them packing the right way with these promotional products ready to attach to luggage going all around the world.

Taking a plane is the way most of us travel. As a result of this travellers are able to arrive at their destination easier and in a quicker amount of time. So, regardless of the strict security and number of hours spent at airports on layovers, flying is still the best option. Consequently because of the strict airport rules travellers may find that packing a bag has become a tiresome ordeal. On the other hand with some advance planning, individuals will find that things have the ability to go smoothly and efficiently when it comes to travelling. Below are a few important tips to becoming a better organized traveler:

- It is necessary that you always plan ahead. Make a list of the things you need to bring, making sure that you only pack what is necessary so you’ll reduce the number of luggage you need to carry. Remember that all airlines have maximum sizes and weights for both checked in and carry-on baggage. Mostly, the largest weight for checked in luggage is 23 kg with additional charges for excess baggage. When it comes to carry-on luggage the limit is typically 10 kg. However, it is better that you call your chosen airline in advance since some have slightly differing requirements. When it comes to the day of your flight, think about the weather and traffic so you have sufficient time to check that you haven’t missed something vital.

- You should also consider learning what is not allowed to be carried onto a plane. You will see that there is a long list of disallowed products, some of which include sharp objects, for example ice picks, knives, box cutters; sporting products, for example golf clubs, baseball bats, and pool cues; firearms and guns which also feature flares and air guns; tools, for example hammers, drills and crowbars; and self defense items and martial arts for instance stun guns, shocking devices, pepper spray and brass knuckles. One 4 ounce (118ml) container of mace or pepper spray is permitted in checked baggage provided it is equipped with a safety mechanism to prevent accidental discharge; explosive materials; flammable items; and some chemicals. It’s a good idea to first check with your airline to find out if these items are allowed, as you may find that you have to check them in.

- Furthermore take the essential time to sort out your identification cards. All throughout the airport, you will see that you will be asked to display your government-issued photo I.D.. Plus, travellers will also need to show proof of travel, or a boarding pass. Organize all these items you and make sure that you can get access to it anytime to avoid delay.

Airport rules and guidelines mean that you just cannot pack anything and everything you need. We need to abide by these restrictions for security reasons. It’s also necessary that you show everything. You will quickly find that it will save a huge amount og time and unnecessary hassle when it comes to airport security. Advance planning is the key. Pack things that you only need, organize them, make sure they are not prohibited, be at the airport ahead of time, and then enjoy your trip.

Sometimes the stresses of going on holiday seem to outweigh the good times. There’s all the planning, the packing, tying up loose ends before leaving the home, travelling and anxieties of being in a new place. And of course, there’s the cost of it all.
But holidays aren’t always about the money side of things. Many people end up counting the cost on the family, on their relationships and on their own physical and emotional health. Holidays are meant to provide an opportunity to relax, recuperate, reflect and recharge, but they don’t always match up to expectation.
The economic downturn forced many people into revising their travel plans, and many people are taking short holidays in destinations closer to home as they watch their pennies carefully. This can exacerbate stress levels.
How do you have a perfect holiday? These tips will help you avoid any pitfalls and have a holiday to remember (for all the right reasons!)!
* Plan, plan, plan. It’s worth putting the effort in upfront – you’ll reap the dividends later.
* Make sure the holiday matches your needs. If your family has had a stressful year, perhaps a ‘kick back and do nothing’ beach holiday is preferable to a whistle stop tour of all the major European capitals.Overcrowded itineraries can make tempers flare.
* Consider accommodation alternatives.Sometimes self-contained apartments can be a good idea because they offer flexibility and space, which hotels don’t always offer!
* Make a ‘holiday box’ a couple of weeks before you go on holiday.Place a large box in a prominent position. When you see something that needs to be taken on holiday, simply put it in the box (eg. Camera, phone chargers, maps and directions etc). This will help prevent the last-minute rush.
• Get your home organised. Ask neighbours to collect post, water plants etc. Ensure all your accounts are settled, and suspend any deliveries or memberships, eg. newspapers, gym etc. Leave a few prepared meals in your deep freeze for your return.
* When travelling overseas, have copies made of all important documents and keep them separately from your luggage.By doing this, if you lose your tickets, credit cars, passports etc. get lost or stolen, you’ll have back-up.
* Make the holiday as long as possible.Short breaks are great, but a long holiday is really beneficial to one’s physical health and emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
* Check your insurance.Ensure your needs (medical, luggage, missed flights etc) are fully covered.
* Pack some emergency medical supplies eg. Band aids, antiseptic cream, anti inflammatories and nausea medication. These can be tricky to find (and expensive to buy) in a foreign place – especially if you need them after hours.
* Aim to have a plan B – especially with children. If the activity that you planned for the day doesn’t work out, either due to the weather or other circumstances, try and have a fall-back position in place. This will diffuse any potentially tricky situation.
* Keep a few ‘rainy day’ surprises hidden away.If you have younger children, keep some simple distractions as a backstop. balloons, crayons, colouring in books, activity books, DVDs hidden away for a rainy day.
• Be flexible.Always look for the best way of doing things. One parent may want to take a child to the movies whilst the other parent or carer could go to the beach – quality time is had by all.
Holiday tensions often rise because of money issues, says Simon Barker, who owns luxury accommodation Fremantle.”Serviced self-catering apartments can be a cost-effective option for people. They aren’t forced to eat all their meals in restaurants, and can prepare meals and invite guests in their own space and at their own pace.People are less likely to go out to be entertained as they have their own space to move around in, relax, invite guests over and entertain. After all, we should be counting the benefits of the hoilday, not the cost.”

If you are a professional in the field of beauty, you might understand the importance of a good first impression. The job of a cosmetologist is to keep tabs on what’s “hot” in the fashion world and keep your supplies up to date, but it can be a tricky thing to do if you aren’t able to keep your supplies organized. The best way to ensure that your clients view you in a professional light is to have your tools on hand and be ready to work. The best way to accomplish this is to ensure that all of your supplies are in a tidy and accessible place: a professional cosmetic case. We’re going to talk about the advantages you can gain by using a cosmetic case, whether you travel to your client or if they come to you.

The Traveling Professional

The traveling professional must always be sure to have necessary items with them at all times. If your approach to clients involves travel, you’ve probably noticed that your supplies often end up in a clutter, leaving you digging around in what feels like Marry Poppins’s carpet bag. The amount of time wasted searching for items may make you feel as though you appear less than professional in front of your client. To avoid this, you should consider investing in a pro cosmetic case. Professionals who have a lot of supplies to carry around would do well with a large cosmetic case. Wigs, electric styling products, and other larger-sized cosmetic items can easily be stored in a compartmentalized case. Aluminum frame, wheels, and a telescopic handle adorn many of the large cases, making your travel as hassle-free as possible. However, if you don’t usually carry a lot of supplies (maybe just nail accessories or makeup), you could consider a train case. Train cases have loads of great storage compartments that make organizing even the smallest items a breeze!

The Stationary Professional

If you operate your business from the same location every day, you have the added benefit that all of your tools are present as and when you need them–but are they organized? Shelving, bulky storage units, and wheeled carts can make your work space appear cluttered and overbearing. Trade in a few of those units and condense your most-used items into a sturdy and tidy case. Professional cosmetic cases can offer you a bit of mobility should you need to swap work stations yet most contain an aluminum frame and lock so that your items remain protected when you are away from the shop. Many large cases can have removable trays and sectioned areas that will allow you to store items large and small. If your needs are minimal, consider getting a train case; they’re small, so you can easily set it on a table top and they feature lots of great retractable tiers that slide out to display all of your smaller items. Store nail accessories, eye makeup, blusher—virtually anything—in these great durable cases.

No matter where you operate your business, accessibility to your supplies is a necessity that you can’t afford to overlook, and a professional cosmetic case is just the way to obtain it!

Here is a list of the most annoying and idiotic airlines over the past 8 months, and some of the things they have done to annoy us:

Ryanair have proved once again how annoying they can be, by raising there prices to ridiculous amounts. They used to be a very cheap airline, and in some respects they still are. However they have just announced to the world that they will be increasing charges on checking in Luggage. Since when did luggage start to charge extra for being checked in? We have weight restrictions already, so why if they weigh the same amount as normal, do we now all of a sudden have to pay extra? If my suitcase says to me that it wants to fly 1st class then that may be a reason for me to fork out some more cash. They reckon that this will help to save costs on overall fares, this could be interesting.

Virgin is by far becoming one of the most powerful airlines in the world. You may think it sounds funny, but soon Virgin will control the universe. However, although they may do, they need to sort out some of these stupid ideas they come up with. One example is banning people from getting on their planes in South Africa if they have swine flu. Well seeing as Swine Flu has already reached every far corner of the world, will this actually help. Not only are other airlines going to take these people from South Africa to other places, but swine flu is already worldwide? I don’t want to annoy Virgin too much though, soon they will be in control of the world.

I do like the way that Easy Jet made themselves look like plonkers this year. Easy Jet claim that this is a hoax, but they would wouldn’t they, that told one of the customers she was too “fat” to fly. Now that seems a little extreme to me. Still, they did give her the opportunity to go back to the ticket kiosk and buy an extra ticket, so that she could fly with them. I might also add that she only weighed 15 stone. Hmmmm maybe a little extreme, don’t you think?

Well if you’re thinking about Caribbean holidays try Maldives holidays instead and fly with someone you know you can trust, if you can find that airline. Let’s see who can screw up the Christmas holidays the most this year?

That’s why it’s important to pack your carry on luggage properly, as it will say a lot about your comfort throughout the flight. Read on to get a few tips on how to pack your carry ons to your advantage.

Not all tote handbags or backpacks are the same. It’s important to pick something that’s large enough to contain all your carry on items. But it’s also important that it’s small enough to be comfortably carried around. If possible, go for something out of soft materials. This way, it can also double as a pillow.

Instead of stashing in the bag several different items together, separate them by using resealable plastic bags. For example, all your small toiletries in one plastic bag make it easier to bring them to the plane toilet for freshening up. Anything that may spill or rub off odors onto other items, like snacks, may be stored in resealable plastic bags.

For your jewelry set, it’s advisable to store them in travel jewelry cases. The inside is lined to protect your precious items. It’s also compartmentalized to keep them from getting entangled with each other. All your medications should also be placed together, but in their individual containers, in a single pouch for easy access.

Many travelers prefer to bring magazines instead of books to accompany them during long flights. It’s because magazines are lighter and cheaper, so you can simply dispose of them after reading. You can pick a copy or two on your way to the airport, or at the airport’s newsstand itself.

Other than reading to keep yourself busy, pick magazines that contain information you might actually benefit from. For instance, you might have had sleepless nights before the flight out of excitement, thus you ended up with acne breakouts. A beauty magazine with an article on how to get rid of acne sure might come in handy.

If you’re trying to maintain your weight or you’re on a certain diet, it pays to pack your own snacks. Sometimes food items served on an airplane may not necessarily complement your waistline or taste buds. Having something nutritious and light to reach for is a great way to keep hunger pangs at bay.

When exposed to the cold and dry cabin air, your skin might dry out and get itchy. For this, you can apply skin moisturizers to exposed skin as needed. For your lips, a stick or small tub of lip balm in your pocket can easily come to the rescue. Don’t forget to stash in your luggage a sweatshirt, tiny blanket or extra pair of socks to beat out the cold.

Everybody looks forward to their annual vacations. As our vacation time draws closer we’ll start to count the days until we pack our holiday clothes and head off for a week or two in the sun.

Unfortunately many people head for their holiday destinations without giving hardly a thought to the need for insurance. This is particularly true for independent travellers who make their own travel arrangements without using a travel agent. Travel agencies will generally remind people of the need for holiday insurance but even when they do many people take out the cheapest policy possible which can often be inadequate for many circumstances.

Many people don’t take out adequate insurance cover because they don’t expect they will need. Nobody expects to have an accident, to need medical attention or that they will be the victim of crime. But problems do happen and emergencies abroad can be extremely expensive. For example, if you need to be returned to the UK it could set you back many thousands of pounds. From the USA the cost of repatriation by air ambulance is estimated to be between £35K and £45K and from the Canary Islands the cost could be between £12K and £16K.

Nobody plans to be brought home by air ambulance but imagine if the worst did happen and you had to pay these costs yourself?

I’ve been very lucky while away on holiday, never having had need for medical attention, but I have, on two occasions, needed to claim for lost or stolen items. On one occasion, while travelling in India, I had my camera stolen from my bag on a train. On another occasion, when flying to Italy, the airline managed to lose my suitcase.

These experiences serve to highlight another important reason to ensure that you have holiday insurance. It’s bad enough to have valuable items stolen or lost but this situation is made a lot worse by having inadequate insurance cover.

Always be sure to read the details of your holiday insurance policy as there are always exclusions that you really need to be aware of. For example, many people are completely unaware that most insurance policies don’t cover drink or drug related incidents?

It is worth remembering that cheaper policies are cheaper for a reason, usually because they offer less cover than those which are more expensive. Before you sign up for the cheapest policy that comes your way always be sure to check that it provides adequate cover for all those potentially crippling expenses that can occur, particularly if medical help is needed.

You can often save money by looking at annual multi-trip insurance or by looking at group insurance policies for your whole family. Nobody should ever leave the UK without ensuring that they have enough insurance cover.

What you have in your carry on luggage will make or break long flights. Before you can fully enjoy your vacation, of course you need to put up with air travel first. That’s why it’s important to pack your carry on luggage the right way. The following are some helpful tips.

When picking backpacks or tote handbags, remember that size matters. It should be small enough to meet airline requirements, but large enough to carry all your important things. It’s best to go for ones that are made from soft fabrics or other materials. This way, they can also be used as pillows.

There are jewelry cases designed for those who take their jewelry set with them during travel. Such has a protective lining which keeps your items from getting scratched or dented. The compartments are great for keeping them apart, so they don’t get entangled with each other. Your medications too should be stored in a single pouch, though in their respective containers.

Many travelers prefer to bring magazines instead of books to accompany them during long flights. It’s because magazines are lighter and cheaper, so you can simply dispose of them after reading. You can pick a copy or two on your way to the airport, or at the airport’s newsstand itself.

A beauty magazine with an article on how to get rid of acne sure might come in handy.

Packing your own snack means that you like what you got, and you got something to reach for should you get hungry. This is also important if you’re a weight watcher or following a particular diet. It’s not all the time that airline food is friendly on your palette and waistline.

Packing your carry on luggage is important, as its contents will be your companion throughout the air travel. Of course going on a vacation is really fun. But not the long flights you have to take. Feel free to use the following tips so you can be assured of comfort until you get to your destination.

Whether you’re going for tote handbags or backpacks, go for one with just the right size. It should be big enough to carry necessities. But not too big to exceed airline regulations. Of course it should also be light enough for comfortable carrying. Go for something fabricated from soft materials, so it can also act as a pillow.

Resealable plastic bags come in handy for separating items that will go into your luggage. Such plastic bags will keep items from getting jumbled, especially small ones. For example, freshening up is hassle-free if you got all your toiletries in a single resealable plastic bag. Any item that may leak or smell can be safely stored in such resealable containers.

Magazines are lighter and cheaper. You can easily throw them away afterwards, so you don’t have to worry about packing them on your way back home. It’s the reason why many travelers prefer them over books. Plus you can pick up copies easily, on your way to the airport or at newsstands inside the airport.

Aside from keeping you busy during long flights, reading magazines is also a great way to pick up useful information. For example, it’s not unlikely for you to have sleepless nights before your vacation as you’re excited. Because of that, acne breakouts may have taken place. A magazine with a piece on how to get rid of acne sure comes in handy.

Packing your own snack means that you like what you got, and you got something to reach for should you get hungry. This is also important if you’re a weight watcher or following a particular diet. It’s not all the time that airline food is friendly on your palette and waistline.

The airplane cabin can get really cold at times, thus your skin is more susceptible to drying out. Liberally apply moisturizing lotion to exposed areas of the body to prevent dryness, scaling and itchiness. Also, bring a tub or stick of lip balm for your lips, and apply as needed. Take with you a small blanket, extra shirt or a pair of socks to help fight off cold cabin temperatures.
